What a week! As usual here, March came in like a lion, with an ice storm Monday and our biggest snowfall all winter on Thursday (plus 3 snow days!). I'll be glad to see sunshine and warm temperatures again (this week!), but here is some of the incredible beauty of winter:
Monday, ice coats every twig and branch |
Icicles hang off our juniper tree |
Every branch of our forsythia bush is covered with ice |
Ice-coated pine needles |
And Thursday, the snowstorm hit! |
Sugar-coated trees on Friday morning |
Hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend!
Such lovely pictures. The branches look as if they've been dipped in molten glass. I'm sure you're tired of ice and snow by now, but it does make for a beautiful, tranquil scene, doesn't it?

Wow, I've never actually seen ice completely coating something before. Looks really cool!
ReplyDeleteWow, I've seen snow on branches but never ice like that. I hope spring comes for you soon.
ReplyDeleteThe ice storm does look rather beautiful, but I bet you are looking forward to some warmer weather.
ReplyDeleteWow! We don't get a lot of ice storms and thankfully it has never covered our trees like that. I love the photos that you posted of the trees covered in ice. Hopefully it warms up for you soon.
