Saturday Snapshot is hosted by West Metro Mommy Reads.
Two weeks ago, my husband and I enjoyed a short getaway to Shenandoah National Park, one of our favorite places. Last week, I posted some photos of camping and the Stony Man Trail. Here is Part 2, with photos of Bearfence Mountain Trail (one of our faves!) and amazing views:
Ferns along the trail |
The trail climbs up, up, up right from the start! |
Blue blazes lead you UP the rocks! |
We love the rocky trail |
My husband - you can make it! |
Selfie up on top! |
Amazing blue sky views of the Blue Ridge Mountains |
Fluffy clouds over the mountains |
We are missing that cool mountain air! Hope you are enjoying a lovely weekend and staying cool (supposed to be close to 100 today and tomorrow here).
Beautiful photos, and what a great view from the top. Worth the climb. I'd love to hike there.
ReplyDeleteI love your photos. Not sure I'd want to attempt the trail though.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like one tough hike, although I'm sure the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains was worth it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
This is beautiful. Good for you getting out in nature. I hiked part of the Appalachian Trail to write my novel Trail Mix. I do miss the mountains.
ReplyDeleteThe beautiful views make the trek up worthwhile.
