As promised, today I will post part 2 of our recent vacation photos - a few of my favorite photos from our recent trip to Maine. I absolutely love Maine, and Acadia National Park, where we spent most of our time, is one of my favorite places in the world. We've traveled all over the country and seen some amazing places, but I love coming back to the Maine coast.

My son is beside himself with joy over his 3+ lbs lobster! |
My husband and I on the Beech Mountain Trail, with Acadia's lakes in the background. |
My sons kayaking on Echo Lake. |
Ahhh...there's that rocky coastline that I love so much! |
My husband and sons climbing on the rocks. |
Sunset from the top of Cadillac Mountain - highest point on the eastern seaboard |

Another beautiful sunset, from Hunter's Beach |
My husband and sons on top of Great Head - we think - it was very foggy! |
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend and enjoying weather as nice as ours!
I have never been to Maine, but want to go there so much after looking at these photos.
ReplyDeleteI have only visited Maine via books and movies...in person looks much better! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHere's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
Maine is beautiful. We were just there in July- Waterville, Bar Harbor, Camden and Freeport were where we went. The first to visit with family, the rest for fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful trip.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful countryside. The first view is just stunning. I love the picture of your son, which kind of reminds me of my post this week. Did he eat it all?
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos! I especially like the coastline in that first one, and the sunset...beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome vacation! Acadia is one of my husband's favorite places on Earth! I have never been, but he promises to get me there before I can't hike the trails!
ReplyDeleteLooks like I'm not the only one who loves Maine!
ReplyDeleteGinx - oh, yes, he easily ate it all (3.3 lb lobster plus a dozen clams!). He LOVES seafood and was thrilled when he ordered a 2+ pounder and the counter girl at the lobster pound said, "Sorry but all we have left are really big ones!"
