Saturday Snapshot is hosted by
West Metro Mommy Reads.
Happy Easter (almost). We are actually celebrating today because our college son is off in Florida for spring break and our high school son leaves tomorrow morning for the Bahamas with his girl friend's family! Lucky boys! So, we are having an early Easter dinner today and left-overs tomorrow.
Just a few pics from this week because it was super busy - we have still not seen much evidence of spring here!
|
Snowdrops are still the only sign of spring here! |
|
Yes, more snow! Huge fluffy flakes last Saturday night. |
|
I don't care what the weather is like - I am declaring it spring! |
|
Some of our Ukrainian specialties - ready for Easter dinner! |
Enjoy the weekend and have a lovely Passover or Easter!
We are currently in Fort Worth and not going home to Toronto until it warms up!!
ReplyDeleteYour food looks so good!
Thanks for sharing, Sue, and I love the spring-like nail polish, too. Enjoy your celebration dinner.
ReplyDeleteHere is MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
Enjoy your Easter Eve dinner with your sons. Sounds like they're both looking forward to good times in the days ahead. Your Easter dishes look yummy.
ReplyDeleteThe snowdrops look lovely. One of my favourites. There really shouldn't be more snow though.
ReplyDeleteWhat are the Ukrainian specialties that you eat at your house? I don't recognize them. I can't believe you are STILL having snow. You are going to be jealous when you see my photos of tulips. My Snapshot Saturday highlights tulips
ReplyDeleteAnne -
DeleteHolubtsi (cabbage rolls), pierogies with both potato and sauerkraut fillings, Ukrainian Easter bread, Polish sausage, ham, a beet & horseradish relish. We just had our Easter dinner (early) - I am stuffed!!! Those flavors bring back so many memories of my entire family sharing Easter together - so many of them are gone now.
Yes, I AM jealous of your tulips!!
Sue
We had an Easter eve with our granddaughter and her family. Tonight we will have movie night, then tomorrow it will be just us. That's OK. I am sort of done with big meal making!
ReplyDeleteOh I bet you like your snowdrops better than those snowflakes! I like your nail polish and cabbage rolls.
