Here are a few of my favorite photos from our brief camping trip last weekend to Elk Neck State Park in Maryland:
The beach along the Elk River - so peaceful! |
A blue heron in the water. |
Gorgeous butterflies - I had never seen these before! |
My two sons and I on the beach. |
I have a book signing today at our local used bookstore, for the Chicken Soup: Parenthood book that includes two of my essays. Looking forward to it!
Hope you have a lovely weekend!
What gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your writing success. Your boys are huge. I'm the smallest one in my family now, so I know the feeling. Even my daughter towers over me. Here's My Saturday Snapshot
ReplyDeleteHey, congratulations on the essays in the Chicken Soup book. That is good news. Your camping trip looked lovely. How did your college boy manage to get a way?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it was a lovely day! Beautiful butterflies!
ReplyDeleteBlue herons always make me think of A Solitary Blue, a really beautiful book. You captured a beautiful picture too!
ReplyDeleteIt looks a lovely, restful spot to be. Those butterflies are extraordinary.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place, and I love the name Elk Neck.
ReplyDeleteHope the book signing is a success! Love the butterfly.

Thanks, everyone, for all the kind words :)
ReplyDeleteAnne, we were camping just 30 minutes from where Jamie goes to school, so he drove down and joined us for a few hours. It was good to have him with us.
