Just checking in briefly because I’m missing my Monday book friends! We are still on our road trip, driving from Texas to Oklahoma today. You can catch up on our Road Trip Blog or with the trip vlogs on my YouTube channel.
To give you an idea what it’s like to take a trip this long, I drafted this post on Friday with the title, “It’s Monday 3/28! …” ha ha The days kind of run together, and it gets confusing!
I finished reading The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz last week. So twisty!! It’s about an author who steals the plot idea of one of his former students who died. He thinks he got away with it (though is going crazy worrying he’ll be found out) when he gets a message saying they know he’s a thief. Even when you think you have this book figured out, it keeps surprising you!
I moved right onto The Sequel by the same author, and it is also surprising and delighting me!
On audio, we’re still listening to Still Waters by Matt Goldman, a suspenseful mystery set in a family lake resort in Minnesota. A sister and brother find out their older brother died unexpectedly, then receive a posthumous email from him the next day, saying he was murdered! It’s great so far!
