Hi, all! I’m popping in with a quick update from the road 😀. We are currently driving to Houston after a wonderful weekend in New Orleans, with friends old and new! We stopped in Baton Rouge for a delicious seafood lunch with good friends we hadn’t seen in 15 years ❤️. If you’re interested, you can check out my Road Trip Blog.
Here’s a quick video about the book I’m currently reading.
My husband is reading The River We Remember by William Kent Krueger.
And on audio, my husband and I are listening to Still Waters by Matt Goldman, a thriller that is fast-paced and excellent so far. It’s set at an old lake resort in northern Minnesota, about siblings looking into their older brother’s death after receiving a posthumous email from him saying that someone was trying to kill him. We’re enjoying it, and it’s helping with the long hours in the car!
What are you reading this week?
Have a wonderful trip. My husband and I listened to The Plot together. I remember the moment of the plot twist. We both let out a gasp.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I can't wait!
DeleteI thought The Plot was fun and kept me guessing. I also liked The Sequel, but not quite as much as The Plot.
ReplyDeleteThe Sequel is up next for me! Both are featured for Booktopia.
DeleteBeen watching some of your videos on You Tube. Sounds like good travelling.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kathryn! We're having fun - it's so great to reconnect with friends and family we haven't seen in years. We had dinner with our nephews last night :)
DeleteDoing a video post on the road is truly impressive. I read The Plot last year, and I really enjoyed most of it and then it went off the rails for me. Hope it works for you!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels. I would think now is the ideal time for a trip to New Orleans and Houston! Beat the heat.
Thanks, Jane! Oooh, interesting about The Plot. I'm finally getting closer to the end (not much reading time on this trip), and it is definitely getting twisty! 87 today in San Antonio - so much for beating the heat! ha ha But the weather has mostly been good.
