Snapshot Saturday is hosted by West Metro Mommy Reads.
It's been a couple of months since I've been home on a weekend and had the time to post for Snapshot Saturday! I thought I'd share some vacation photos, from our recent two weeks spent camping in New Hampshire and Vermont, two beautiful states filled with mountains, forests, and lakes. This week, I will choose a few photos from NH's White Mountains:
My son at the river running through Dolly Copp Campground |
Crystal Cascade, White Mountains |
View from the top of Mt. Washington, with road we took up |
Stairs Fall. White Mountains |
My sons, just below Coosauk Fall |
Top of Bald Mountain - my sons & husband taking a break |
My son and I at Artist's Bluff |
Riding the Wildcat Mtn. ski lift up for ziplining |
Hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend!
This looks so fun! I'm from Maine, so NH was the only place we went on vacation when I was a kid. Glad to have you back.
ReplyDeleteMaine is one of my favorite places, Heidi! We vacationed there last summer at Acadia. Love it there!

Beautiful photos of a lovely area. I've never been to New Hampshire or Vermont, but I'd love to go -- especially after seeing your photos! Looks like you had a great time.

Lovely, lovely, lovely. I thank you for sharing your lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Looks like you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteLiving on the other side of the world as I do, most of my information about the States is from books and TV shows. New Hampshire brings Jed Bartlett to mind from West Wing! Most of the TV shots were in winter though, when I imagine this area looks a lot whiter :-)
ReplyDeleteYour pics show that it's beautiful any time of year though - thanks.
Nice photos! We've been up to the top of Mt. Washington, and my daughter was afraid of the road because she thought we would fall over the side. NH and VT are beautiful states, as is all of New England. Glad you had a nice trip.
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely a scary road, Rita! My older son later admitted he was scared on the way up!

You always visit such beautiful, natural places. Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos- it looks like a wonderful trip. I used to make foil packets for the grill with chicken, sliced potatoes, peppers, onions and mushrooms drizzled with Italian dressing and my family loved it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great time was had by all! The scenery is so pretty and serene. I'm not sure I'd be up for the ziplining, though!! :)
ReplyDeleteZiplining is actually super easy and relaxing! This place even had seats, so you just sit and enjoy the ride & the scenery!
DeleteGorgeous photos! I was just thinking this morning that we either needed to use our collection of camping equipment or we needed to sell/donate it. We haven't been in so long, and I miss it. Of course, we have kinda missed our window of opportunity living here in the South. It's really just about too dang hot for tent camping.
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Travel in Weekend!
Totally agree - we live in Delaware now - too hot in summer to camp! We use a pop-up and in summer, we either head north or into higher elevations!
