Snapshot Saturday 11/17

At Home with Books hosts Saturday Snapshot.

We are seeing a last burst of fall color here, as the late bloomers light up the neighborhood with bright yellows, reds, and oranges.  This is my favorite tree in the neighborhood, a giant maple that is one of the last ones to change color in the fall:

I smile everytime I drive by this tree.  I will be sorry to see the last of the fall colors disappear in a few weeks.

Hope you are enjoying the weekend.

  1. The trees are changing here too. I love the colors of fall but not the cooler weather.

  3. Beautiful! It's always interesting how trees follow their own schedule for changing, and I love watching the ones that are early or late every year.

  5. I had a similar thought this morning, except it was for the magnificent jacaranda tree at the end of street in full spring bloom right now!
Your maple tree is magnificent too :-)

  6. It's so pretty! Almost all of ours here have shifted into browns. No more bright reds and yellows.

  7. I love that tree. The leaves generally seemed to be much redder than usual, and they didn't seem to be there for long, which is a shame, because they are so beautiful. My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/qkrST
