Saturday Snapshot is hosted by West Metro Mommy Reads.
Wet & cool has given way to hot and humid (though we still had some cool-ish days this week), and spring blooms and h=turned into lush summer greenery. A few photos from a hike at our local nature center this week (plus one from our yard & one from my son's graduation!):
Our irises bloomed last week: gorgeous but brief |
Beginning of the trail at the nature center |
Boardwalk through lush marsh & woods |
Me, enjoying a hike! |
Cool stream passing along the trail |
My son's high school graduation last Saturday! |
Hope you are enjoying a great weekend!
That's a lovely family photo, and you must be very proud of your son - moments like that are to be treasured I think. My Snapshot is at https://thebooktrunkblog.wordpress.com/
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christine!
DeleteLovely pictures. Looks like it was a beautiful day for walk.
ReplyDeleteIt was, Tanya - a bit too hot ans sticky for my tastes but not too bad in the woods :)
DeleteThanks, Vicki! And it was a lovely walk - we are so lucky to have such a beautiful nature center just down the road from us.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely green nature trail - it looks peaceful.
ReplyDeleteIt was, Brona. We are lucky to have this place so close!
DeleteThat looks like a great trail for walking! I have to find someplace nice to do a little light hiking. I miss the woods.
ReplyDeleteThis lovely nature center is just a few miles away from our house - it is sooo nice to get out - even for just a half hour. Nature is just so restorative for me :)
DeleteThe weather certainly is changeable this time of year. Less than a week ago, we were at 100 degrees...now we're lucky if we hit 65. Sigh!
ReplyDeleteIt's been the same here - bouncing between hot & humid and cool & wet!
DeleteYour irises are lovely, it's a shame their beauty is so fleeting. I always enjoy your walk photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yes, their blooms only last about a week but they are so beautiful!
DeleteThe irises are beautiful. So blue! I think of irises as spring flowers, though. Have a lovely week.
ReplyDelete(this photo was from a couple of weeks ago) They normally bloom about mid-May here, Anne - they were a couple of weeks late this year because it's been SO wet & cool!
