Saturday Snapshot is hosted by West Metro Mommy Reads.
We took a short hike last weekend with our teenage son along an old favorite local trail along a creek that we hadn't been to in years. It was a lovely, sunny day and even warm! Here are a few highlights:
My son crosses the creek on a fallen tree |
Dried leaves still clinging to branches |
My sons have loved climbing on this sycamore since they were very young! |
Boy and beaver dam |
Lots of sycamores along the creek |
View of the creek and trail from up above |
Hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend!
What a beautiful walk! I wish I had something besides city streets around me...LOL.
ReplyDeleteHere's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
What could be better than revisiting a favorite hiking trail with your son? Sounds like a perfect day to me. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are lovely, especially that first one, with reflection of the fallen tree in the water. My Snapshot is at http://chriscross53.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/seagulls-and-crab-pots.html
ReplyDeletePerfect family outing! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a wonderful family walk! The sunny, warm days in winter are such a treat (and I'd like to have one about now...)
ReplyDeleteWow. It looks like it was a really cold walk. Happy New Year! Anne at Head Full of Books
ReplyDeleteYour posts are so often outdoorsy- I think that's great. I always mean to walk more often, but rarely get around to going. This looks a nice walk. Nice that your son goes with you, we can barely get ours off the couch. I'd love to see a beaver dam one day.
